A Presidential decree signed by the president of the Republic of Cameroon, H.E Paul Biya has set free all detainees captured during the peak of the anglophone crisis. The likes of Fontem Neba, aya Paul, Agbor bala and a host of others were released from captivity today 30 August, 2017.

However, controversies have been sparked over the sudden change of mind of the president, barely few days after he dispatched heavily armed soldiers to the two anglophone regions of the country.

The decree came at a point in time when the future of school resumptions in these two regions is still very blure and unpredictable. Barely four (4) days to go for school resumption, a bold and yet very important step has been taken by the Cameroon government.

Would this appease  the striking population? This is the question that continues to hover, but it is too early to provide answers to this question. When it is ripe, Carlsonyuh Blog will keep you updated. Stay posted and thanks for visiting.
